Privacy
The short version: everything you type stays on your own device unless you choose to email a compact plan summary. Optional Meta and PostHog measurement is off unless you actively allow it.
What is stored, and where
Your budget, supplier names, prices, notes, checklist ticks and contribution figures are saved in your browser’s local storage, under a single key on your own device. They are not transmitted, not backed up and not visible to anyone but you. Open the site on a different device or browser and you will start from scratch, because there is no account to sync from.
What is not collected
There is no account, and the planner does not send your full plan or free-text fields to a server. The site can load Meta’s advertising pixel and PostHog’s anonymous product analytics only after you choose “Allow measurement” in the privacy banner. If you choose “No thanks”, neither tool is loaded and no measurement request is made. You can revisit that choice with “Privacy choices” in the footer. Consent is stored in local storage on this device so we do not ask on every page load.
Email capture
If you submit your email through the plan or payment reminder form, DS Media Moments is the data controller for that submission. Your email and a compact summary of your plan are sent to and stored with MailerLite. The summary includes your budget band, guest count, wedding date, top spend categories, and, when selected, the next payment date and payment count. When you request your plan, the PDF and CSV generated in your browser are sent through Resend for delivery and are included as attachments. The full plan remains in your browser apart from those requested attachments. We use the submitted information to provide payment reminders when you ask for them and send occasional wedding planning tips. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
What measurement tools receive
When measurement consent is granted, Meta receives PageView, PlannerStarted, PlannerCompleted and ExportClicked. PostHog receives the same tool events in its EU Cloud project. Events carry only the page path, tool name, calculator version, export format where relevant and the consent state. Autocapture and session replay are disabled. We never send your exact budget, contributions, guest counts, wedding date, supplier names, notes or other calculator values. This site has no server, so it does not use Meta Conversions API and does not expose an access token or secret in the browser.
Deleting your plan
The reset button in the planner deletes everything permanently. There is no undo and no copy anywhere else. Clearing your browser’s site data does the same. If you want to keep a record first, export a CSV, which is generated in your browser and saved straight to your device.
Hosting
The site is a set of static files. Like any web host, the server that delivers them may keep standard request logs, which can include IP addresses. Those logs are a function of hosting, not of the planner, and none of your plan is ever in them.

This is a planning aid. The figures it produces are estimates, not quotes, offers or financial advice, and no payment is ever taken or processed. Confirm every figure with the supplier before you rely on it.
